To mark the retirement of Prof. Romuald Tylenda, Head of N. Copernicus Astronomical Center in Toruń, we have organized a one day colloquium on different topics related to late stages of stellar evolution that he had worked on during his active scientific career. Ample time has been available for informal discussions and personal anecdotes.
